Dennis Wamsted focuses on the ongoing transition away from fossil fuels to green generation resources, focusing particularly on the electric power sector.

He has 30 years of experience tracking utility transitions and technology developments, beginning with a long stint as executive editor of The Energy Daily, a leading trade publication based in Washington, D.C. He has consulted for numerous utilities and industry organizations, focusing on the technology and policy trends reshaping the power sector.

Dennis graduated with honors from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Jordan and has invested several years trying to master the Arabic language, to no avail.

His interest in the nexus between energy and environmental issues can be traced to hiking the Appalachian Trail after graduating from high school.
