Tanya Rana

Tanya Rana is an Energy Analyst, South Asia, IEEFA, specialising in India's energy transition, including industrial decarbonisation, corporate climate transition, and developments in the power sector. Her efforts are committed to effectively navigating the complexities associated with transitioning to a net-zero future. Tanya is a Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) professional certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). In her role at IEEFA, she partners with domestic companies and government ministries on sustainable energy transition strategies.

Before joining IEEFA, she worked with Ernst & Young Global Delivery Services as an auditor in its Assurance vertical, focusing on negotiating and communicating with overseas clients, primarily based in France and Luxembourg. She subsequently served as an English language teacher in public high schools in France, thanks to an opportunity through the French Ministry of Education.

Tanya holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi.
