Thank you for the opportunity for the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) to provide input to the NSW Net Zero Commission (NZC) Call for Evidence to inform the development of NSW Decarbonisation Pathways.

IEEFA is an independent energy finance think tank that examines issues related to energy markets, trends and policies. The Institute’s mission is to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy.

IEEFA has significant experience across many of the relevant sectors being modelled by the Net Zero Commission, and has applied this experience in the comments below. The submission includes an Executive Summary as well as detailed commentaries on the relevant issues.
