Saumya Nautiyal is an Energy Finance Analyst, Steel Sector, South Asia at IEEFA. She examines the steel sector’s technology transition, energy and resource security and pathways for industrial decarbonisation.
She began her career at STENUM Asia, where she supported sustainability program management and business development with international development agencies and corporate clients. At HSBC Global Research, she delivered sustainability insights for institutional investors, led sectoral decarbonisation analyses, and contributed data-driven inputs to flagship global reports. At NITI Aayog’s Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO), she worked closely with government stakeholders to design indicators and drive cross-ministerial engagement.
Saumya holds an MBA in Sustainability Management from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB), and a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Delhi. Outside of work, she enjoys photography, experimenting with trending recipes, and is learning to play the guitar.
