Walter James is an independent researcher, journalist, and editor of Power Japan, an online publication focused on Japan’s climate change policy and energy transition. His work has appeared in The Japan Times, East Asia Forum, Energy Tracker Asia, Climate Home News, among other publications. He holds a PhD in political science from Temple University and was a visiting fellow at Waseda University in Tokyo from 2021-2023.
