Ramnath is IEEFA's Sustainable Finance Lead, Asia. He has over 30 years of experience in investments and finance, having worked with international banks and fund management firms in Singapore, Hong Kong, Mumbai, and London. He has hands-on experience conducting research, examining corporate strategy, and integrating ESG/sustainability into the investment and portfolio construction process in Asia and Emerging Markets. He most recently headed the ESG integration practice in Asia for a consulting firm, advising clients on the effective implementation of sustainability and ESG principles.
He has also been involved in the renewable energy space over the past decade, as a corporate director, investment analyst and fund manager.
Ramnath has a deep understanding of the dynamics of energy transition and the role of renewables and other sustainability furthering sectors.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, and is a Certificate holder in ESG Investing from CFA UK. He is a sports fan, and an avid reader who often writes reviews of the books he reads.
