Kaira Rakheja is an Energy Analyst at IEEFA, where she is engaging in tracking and analysing India’s progress towards its energy transition goals. Her role includes assessing the critical mineral supply chain within the country and analyzing the growth in renewable energy capacity and investments.
Kaira is committed to understanding and prioritizing the resilience and the self-sufficiency of energy transition mechanisms within and outside the country. She has previously interned at Convergent View Research & Consultancy, the Data Security Council of India, and worked as an Associate at the Indian School Of Public Policy.
She has dedicated her time to developing an understanding of the policy sphere and building her skillset as a researcher. Kaira believes that good policy is the linchpin of the transition to clean energy, providing the framework that empowers innovation, encourages sustainable practices, and aligns economic incentives with environmental responsibility.
Kaira holds a Master’s degree in Law, Politics and Society from Ambedkar University, Delhi, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miranda House, Delhi University. In her free time, she can be found reading with her cats, boxing, or practicing Japanese
