Subham Shrivastava is a Climate Finance Analyst at IEEFA, where he works at the intersection of finance, climate policy, and data modelling to support India’s energy transition. His research spans sustainable finance, zero-emission mobility, and carbon markets, with a focus on analysing energy and climate policy through financial and systems perspectives.

Previously, Subham was part of the Climate Finance team at Climate Policy Initiative, where he worked on innovative blended finance instruments in India, examined associated regulatory challenges, and supported The Lab proponents on funding strategies and financial instrument design. At CEEW, he developed analytical frameworks to track sustainable finance flows in India’s agroecological sector and contributed to a sub-national randomized control trial (RCT) study.

He was named one of the Top Youth Leaders of the World by UNESCO-MGIEP and has represented India at several youth forums on climate change and international trade across South and Southeast Asia. Subham believes that aligning financial systems with climate goals requires close scrutiny of capital flows and systemic incentives.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delhi and a Master’s degree from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. Outside of work, Subham claims a 100% synchronization rate in every Assassin’s Creed game ever released and harbours a near-scholarly obsession with obscure facts from The Lord of the Rings.
