Dhruv Garg is an Energy Finance Analyst, South Asia, at IEEFA. He focuses on battery energy storage systems, transmission networks and the role of finance and policy in accelerating India’s energy transition.
He has worked on the development of AI driven autonomous lab systems for battery degradation analysis at Shimadzu Corporation in Japan and conducted solar materials research at the Institute of Advanced Energy, Kyoto University, Japan. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from IIT Bombay, completed his B.Tech thesis on the techno-economic analysis of battery energy storage systems, and spent a semester at the University of Bologna, Italy as part of a funded academic exchange.
Beyond work, he enjoys swimming, strength training and exploring new places with an interest in history, finance and clean tech innovation.
