Swathi Seshadri is an Energy Specialist, Petrochemicals, South Asia. Her work focuses on the petrochemical industry, investments in the sector and drivers of the industry.
Swathi has worked on the petrochemical industry for the past 4=four years in her role as a Team Lead (Oil and Gas) at the Centre for Financial Accountability. She has been engaging with the Global Plastics Treaty negotiations as an Observer. She has also been involved in mapping petrochemical infrastructure and investment in the Asia-Pacific region, including in supporting organisations aspiring to initiate work on petrochemicals.
For two decades prior, Swathi has worked on a diverse range of issues from mental health and disability, mobilising youth for social justice and assessing the impacts of tourism from the perspective of affected communities, workers and landscapes.
Swathi has a Masters in Commerce (Mumbai University) and an M.A. in Social Work (Tata Institute of Social Work). Swathi likes to spend her free time fostering rescue cats and kittens when she is not working.
