Stephen Brown serves as Global Energy Initiatives Director for the Climate Imperative Foundation, which aims to align U.S. fossil fuel exports with national climate goals.
Brown has worked in government relations and public affairs for over 20 years, from working as an intern in the Clinton White House, to serving on the staff of U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee to budget analyst for Rep.Sylvester Turner. He became Vice President of Public Advocacy for the American Heart Association’s Texas affiliate in 2003.
Brown built Capital Assets Energy LLC, a clean energy consulting firm, and founded the Clean Energy Fund of Texas Inc. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from NorthCarolina A&T State University and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Rice University.
