Sarah Weeks is IEEFA's Chief Financial Officer and oversees the operational and administrative functions including HR, accounting and finance, IT, and grants and contract management. She works to promote the effective use of IEEFA’s resources in pursuit of its mission while ensuring legal compliance and financial accountability.
As a non-profit financial and operations leader for over 12 years, she is skilled in budgeting and financial planning, data analysis, and project management. Throughout her career she has used these skills to enact purposeful data-driven improvements to solve operational, financial and administrative challenges.
In addition to her management experience, Sarah has worked as a non-profit operations consultant, and has given national presentations and trainings on topics including metadata, information science, and change management.
Sarah holds a Master of Library Science degree from Clarion University and a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from John Carroll University. In her personal life, Sarah has been an advocate for youth in foster care and launched a successful two-year advocacy campaign to pass smoke-free foster care legislation in Minnesota. She is also a published author for the North American Council on Adoptable Children.
