Ricardo Baitelo is a project manager at Instituto de Energia e Meio Ambiente (IEMA), a Brazilian think tank dedicated to a just energy transition in the energy and transport sectors. There, he coordinates initiatives on the universalization of energy access in the Amazon and for the Gas+Energy Coalition, dedicated to the transition of the Brazilian Energy Matrix to renewable sources.
An electrical engineer, he has a master's degree in Energy Efficiency and a Ph.D. in Integrated Planning of Energy Resources from the University of São Paulo where he serves as a Guest Professor and Researcher in the Integrated Resources Planning Group. He is the former manager of Climate and Energy Campaigns for Greenpeace Brazil and Technical-Regulatory Specialist for the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy.
