Meenakshi Viswanathan

Meenakshi Viswanathan is an Energy Finance Analyst, South Asia, IEEFA, focusing on climate finance and transition risk. Her work spans corporate climate transition, renewable energy finance ecosystems, and power sector decarbonisation. 

Previously, she worked on New York State's Clean Energy Communities program, where she engaged with 40 local governments to decarbonise government operations, finance renewable energy projects, and develop climate mitigation strategies. She also has a background in monitoring and evaluation in the Indian healthcare and nutrition sectors through her work on the NITI Aayog Aspirational Districts Programme. Meenakshi holds a Master's in Public Administration from Columbia University and an Integrated MA in Development Studies from IIT Madras.
