Louise Yeung is Chief Climate Officer in the office of the New York City Comptroller. Yeung is tasked with tracking the city’s progress in meeting climate commitments, driving climate action and investments in the private sector, and bringing a climate justice lens to the city’s budget.
Previously, Yeung served as Director of Resiliency at the NYC Department of Transportation and Energy Vice President of Asset Management for the NYC Economic Development Corporation. She also led the Food Supply Chain Task Force to address food security as part of NYC’s COVID-19 emergency response.
Yeung graduated Summa Cum Laude from George Washington University with a BA in International Affairs, and received a master’s degree in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
