Lai Fong was previously IEEFA’s Editor, Asia. She likes exploring new challenges and is keen to work with analysts on the Asia team to highlight the strengths of their research by putting the English language to good use.
Her editorial and publishing background includes 15 years of journalism at Singapore’s national broadsheet, The Straits Times, and the South China Morning Post of Hong Kong, as well as later working as a government editor.
She is also experienced in editing macroeconomic research reports about countries in East and Southeast Asia. Her tertiary degrees are from the National University of Singapore and the University of South Australia.
Lai Fong’s interest in the energy transition is tied to her love of wildlife. She enjoys books and travel as well, and simply taking walks through urban and rural landscapes to explore and discover.
