Debabrata Das is Regional Communications Manager, South Asia, at the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis. He focuses on raising the profile of IEEFA and its analysts in the region.
As a financial journalist for over 10 years, Debabrata is skilled in simplifying complex financial and economic jargon to create high-impact and easy-to-understand narratives. Extensive experience in the newsroom has also given him the ability to craft effective media outreach strategies.
He has also worked as an editor for a market research firm and a risk management consultancy, where he worked closely with analysts and consultants to improve the quality and readability of reports for several high-profile clients.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Delhi University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai, India.
Outside of work, Debabrata loves to go on walks and explore the city’s forests and parks with his wife and two pet dogs. He is also an avid video gamer and a fan of sci-fi shows.
