Webinar: Accelerating renewables investment in Indonesia: Shared use of the transmission network

Tuesday, April 29, 2025
14:30-17:00 WIB (08:30–11:00 BST)

Mutya Yustika

This event will explore how a joint transmission network utilization mechanism, globally known as power wheeling, can enable corporate energy buyers to access renewable electricity across Indonesia’s grid. The mechanism holds strong potential to unlock private sector investment and support Indonesia’s clean energy and decarbonization goals.

IESR, IEEFA, and RE100 will launch a new whitepaper offering insights on how a joint transmission mechanism can:

  • Accelerate Indonesia’s renewables rollout and attract new investment;
  • Support PLN’s financial sustainability through new revenue streams;
  • Align with national regulations and planning (e.g., RUU EBET, RUPTL); and,
  • Inform energy policymaking, including discussions in Parliament.

We look forward to your participation in this dialogue.

You are warmly invited to a webinar and whitepaper launch hosted by the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), in partnership with RE100, and the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA).
