The global gas industry has its sights set on Latin America, both as a source of new gas supplies, and as a locus of new demand. Dozens of new gas import and export facilities have been proposed, with even more waiting in the wings. What are the prospects for the gas industry in Latin America? Are there smarter and more secure energy alternatives for a region struggling with the goals of economic development and climate neutrality?
