Sofia Russi is responsible for strengthening and amplifying the voice of IEEFA’s team in Europe and disseminating expert research to the media and key stakeholders.
A communications professional with a passion for accelerating the transition towards a sustainable energy future, she specializes in strategic communications, reputation management, journalism and media relations.
She previously held communications and research roles at the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the European Commission, and the California Public Utilities Commission.
Sofia holds an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in Journalism with Creative Writing from Kingston University London. She is fluent in English and Italian.
A curious enthusiast of contemporary art, she is often found visiting exhibitions in her native Italy and all around Europe in search of new and creative ways to convey messages.
