Karen Engler is IEEFA’s Budget and Contracts Manager. She manages the expense coding and financial reporting for grants and contracts and serves as initial negotiator for vendor contracts. Her areas of expertise are budget management, reporting and analytics, and information management.
Prior to joining IEEFA, Karen began her career in museum education and travel and has managed budgets for over 20 years in academic offices, including a college grants office, international & off-campus studies, and an academic library.
Karen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family and their numerous animals.
