Alan Pears is a guest contributor at IEEFA. Alan has worked across all sectors of the economy on energy policy, with emphasis on demand-side issues since the late 1970s, and on climate issues since the mid-1980s. He has played key roles in the development and implementation of policies and programs including sustainable residential and commercial buildings, appliance efficiency, business and industrial efficiency, education and community action.
He is a Fellow at RMIT University and the University of Melbourne, policy adviser to the Energy Efficiency Council, and innovation leader at the Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity. He writes for Renew magazine, RenewEconomy and The Conversation.
