Web Content Curator

The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking a Web Content Curator for a newly created full-time remote role.  The successful candidate will curate and coordinate content placement and posting on our soon-to-be launched redesigned website.  You will lead the global strategy to ensure that our site features the work of our growing, global network of analysts and experts in a dynamic and engaging way. The main function of the web content curator is to ensure that content is fresh, impactful, timely, and consistently styled throughout the site. 

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily management of content on IEEFA’s website, including but not limited to:

• Curate placement and balance content, showcasing IEEFA’s broad range of topics, expertise and geography
• Plan editorial calendar, coordinate editorial topics, help establish priorities, and create featured content
• Strengthen cross-team global communications
• Establish and manage website projects, aligning content with IEEFA branding and editorial guidelines
• Ensure web content solutions clearly align with strategic communications goals
• Review and update content for relevancy, accuracy, and accessibility
• Tag and organize content to maximize search engine optimization and enhance user experience/accessibility
• Create and edit webpages for IEEFA reports and other research products
• Promote content to increase website traffic
• Track, analyze, and report on website analytics
• Troubleshoot website display and content creation issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with content management systems, including familiarity with Drupal, HTML, and CSS
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices and tools
• Understanding of basic UX/UI principles and experience curating content-rich websites
• Exceptional skills in fostering collaboration and balancing priorities
• Demonstrated leadership ability (across teams)
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
• Ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to transform complex technical topics into accessible language
• Experience integrating social media with web content
• Experience managing images, video and audio content and files.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA in journalism, communications, marketing, or similar relevant field.
• Experience with international organizations
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

Work Schedule: Remote (North America), full-time, 40 hours/week. Due to required collaboration with international teams, optimal schedule will be Monday to Friday noon to 8pm US Eastern Time. Morning or weekend hours may be required to accommodate meetings in different time zones.

Reports To: IT Manager

Travel: Some travel will be required, including regional travel and trips to New York for IEEFA team meetings.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The Web Content Curator will work remotely.  Must be able to work for prolonged periods at a computer. Computer work can involve repetitive motion, eyestrain, back and neck strain.

Hiring Range: $75,900 - $88,500
