Primary Function
The Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA) is seeking an Energy Finance Analyst for position based in Canada. We are looking for an experienced financial professional with knowledge of the oil & gas energy sector in Canada. The individual must possess a commitment to IEEFA's mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy.
The Energy Finance Analyst produces written analysis and commentary on the oil and gas industry in Canada for IEEFA publications and formal submission to governmental bodies. Analysis focuses on market and policy factors affecting the industry regionally, alongside company holdings, finances, ownership, behavior and strategies, and capital structures.
IEEFA is a rapidly-growing NGO/nonprofit that conducts research and analysis on financial and economic issues related to energy markets, trends and policies. Headquartered in the United States, IEEFA has a team of analysts and communications personnel located across the globe. IEEFA produces a significant volume of original research, as well as ongoing analysis and reports on issues affecting energy industries. Travel
Some travel may be required (when it becomes possible). IEEFA hosts an annual conference and training event in New York City each year. All global team members attend the conference and are offered a chance to participate fully in the conference. The conference is followed by a team retreat which provides the various IEEFA teams with an opportunity to learn from and share ideas with colleagues covering other countries.
