ReNew Power has commissioned a 300MW solar plant in India, taking its total operating capacity to 7400MW.

The SECI-6 solar plant forms part of a 1.5GW of renewable energy projects installed this fiscal year, despite challenges related to covid-19 and supply chain disruptions.

ReNew is on track to meet its goal of 8.2GW of operating capacity for fiscal year 2022.

The bulk of ReNew’s capacity addition is located in the states of Rajasthan and Gujarat and includes more than 1.3GW of utility-scale solar farms.

These include 1.2GW in Rajasthan, 105MW in Gujarat, and 20MW in Maharashtra.

Over 150MW of wind has been installed, including 136MW in Karnataka and 22MW in Gujarat.
