Manila Standard:

Aboitiz Power Corp. will develop 721 megawatts of renewable energy projects over the next three years as part of its clean energy expansion, a top executive said over the weekend.

“All in all over the next three years, we have about 721 MW of RE projects under priority development. These are all part of our RE growth strategy over the next decade,” said Aboitiz Power president and chief executive officer Emmanuel Rubio.

He said the company is looking forward to the completion and commercial operations of the Cayanga solar project by the end of this year.

Aboitiz Power’s PV Sinag Power Cayanga Project involves the construction of a 94-MW solar power plant in Bugallon, Pangasinan.

“In the next few weeks, we will also be able to secure a notice to proceed for our 160-MW peak Laoag Solar project,” he said.
